Long time no post!

Wow! It's been a long time since I've written, so I'm long overdue for an update on the status of the second book in the Idlebury series. The first draft of A Force To Be Reckoned With . . . The Story of Thane: Prince of Magic, Mayhem, and Marvelous Things is nearly complete. The estimated publish date is late 2013 to early 2014. And I must say, the story of Thane is packed with unpredictable twists and turns as well as lots of fun and scary characters.

I'm happy to report that I continue to receive positive feedback from readers of the first book in the Idlebury series, Be Careful What You Wish For . . . The Story of: Gwendolyn the Great, Savior of Idlebury, Protector of the Universe. Several readers said they loved the story of Gwendolyn the Great so much that they've read the book several times.

Well, I haven't sent a message to my fans for a long time. But I want all my fans of Be Careful What You Wish For . . . The Story of: Gwendolyn the Great, Savior of Idlebury, Protector of the Universe to know that the second book in the Idlebury Series is well on its way to completion. The second book is packed with mayhem, mystery, and magic. It is scheduled for publication in late 2013. I know that's a long time to wait, but it's well worth the wait.

Collingswood, NJ Book Festival

Baltimore Book Festival Was A Blast!

Wow! What a great weekend at the Baltimore Book Festival. With the exception of Friday's unbearable heat, the weather was perfect.

I want to thank all of my new readers who bought my book during this event. I appreciate your enthusiasm about my book and hope each of you enjoys the adventures of Gwendolyn the Great, Savior of Idlebury, Protector of the Universe.

I'm currently writing the second book in the Idlebury series. It's titled: A Force To Be Reckoned With . . . The Story of Thane: Prince of Magic, Mayhem, and Marvelous Things. I hope to have this book available for sale by spring 2011.

Great Book To Read This Summer

I just finished reading "Hickory, Dickory, Death" by Agatha Christie. Loved it. Didn't want to put it down and found any chance I could to snatch a few minutes to read it. It's probably hard for Agatha Christie fans to believe that I've never read one of her books. Why? I don't know. Now I'm hooked. Her characters are rich, and I love the way she tangles and then untangles a story. In other words, I like the way her mind works.

So if you have a chance this summer, pick up a book by Agatha Christie. I can guarantee she's a great read.

Even though today is the unofficial start of summer and many of you are eager to start your summer vacation from school, I am not taking a summer break. In fact, I'm hard at work writing "A Force To Be Reckoned With ... The Story of Thane: Prince of Magic, Mayhem, and Marvelous Things. This second book in the Idlebury series is proving to be even more exciting than the first. (I didn't think that was possible, but I do believe it is.) There's a new slew of characters as well as reappearances by some of the best-loved characters from "Be Careful What You Wish For ... The Story of: Gwendolyn the Great, Savior of Idlebury, Protector of the Universe.

Right now Prince Thane of Idlebury is in a heap of trouble. People and creatures throughout the universe are hunting for him, but the fact is, he's been kidnapped by the king of Hexidonia. That's all I can tell you for now. I wouldn't want to give away the exciting details of this extraordinary story.

I have to admit that although I'll be hard at work this summer, I'm having great fun writing about the adventures of Prince Thane. I'll keep you posted as to my progress.

And remember, summer is a great time to catch up on one of the most important activities -- reading! So grab a good book. Heck, grab several good books and enjoy the summer.
